Symptoms

The error is reported during backup (VMware VADP backup sets).

Cause

A known VMware issue described in the VMware KB #2090639 "QueryChangedDiskAreas API returns incorrect
sectors after extending virtual machine VMDK file with Changed Block Tracking (CBT) enabled"

Workaround

Follow the recommendations available in the VMware KB #2090639 (apply the corresponding patch for the ESXi version running on the backup source VMWare environment).
