Installing on macOS Endpoints

During the installation, you must assign Agents to a Site using the Site Token or Group Token.

To get the Site Token:

  1. In the sidebar, click macOS Endpoints 1Scope and select a scope. Select one Site. If you are in any other scope, the Site Token does not show.
  2. In the sidebar,clickmacOS Endpoints 1Sentinels .
  3. In the Sentinels toolbar, click Packages.
  4. In the Site Token section, click Copy.

To get a Group Token:

  1. In the sidebar, clickmacOS Endpoints 1Scope and select a scope.You must select one Static Group.
  2. In the sidebar, clickmacOS Endpoints 1Sentinels.
  3. In the Sentinels toolbar, click Group Info.
  4. In the Group Token section, click Copy.

To install the Agent on one macOS endpoint (CommandLine):

  1. In the Sentinelstoolbar, click Packages.
  2. Download the latest macOS Installer package. Best Practice: Download the file to the local endpoint.
  3. Save the Site Token or Group Token in a plain text file in the same folder as the SW EDR Installer package. Name the file: com.sentinelone.registration-token
  4. Run the installer: $ sudo /usr/sbin/installer -pkg Desktop/Sentinel*.pkg -target / For Example: $ sudo /usr/sbin/installer -pkg Desktop/tmp/SentinelXXXX.pkg -target /Library/
  5. Complete the installation:

On macOS versions of 10.13 High Sierra to 10.15 Catalina, users must approve the kernel extension on their local computers, in System Preferences > Security and Privacy > General tab > ALLOW.

To install the Agent on one macOS endpoint with Installation Wizard:

  1. In the Sentinels toolbar, click Packages.
  2. Download the latest macOS installer package. Best Practice: Download the file to the local endpoint.
  3. Give the Token string to the user (for example, send a message or email with the Token string).
  4. Users run the installation package and enter the Token string when prompted in the installation wizard.

  1. Complete the installation:
